Safeguards

Why?

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far. Let your bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness; For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.”

– Kahlil Gibran

  1. Between the internet and day to day happenings, there are many interactions that can cause deep and long lasting mental impacts.

2. Students should feel safe and secure in and out schools by recognizing supports that validate their concerns

3. The unprecedented violence since the Columbine High School Massacre and increase in drug use/addiction is a reality that we Americans have to deal with. We need to understand the signs, acknowledge students’ needs, and what protocols/strategies can be implemented immediately that New York State law provides.
